“University-Society and Sustainable Development. Challenges in the face of the impacts of Covid 19 "

The Universidad de Oriente convenes the second edition of the INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION SCIENCE AND CONSCIENCE, to be held from December 8 to 10, 2021 virtually, but with the imprint of the City of Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.

The event will bring together professionals from the social and humanistic, medical, educational, economic and business, legal, technical and agricultural sciences committed to sustainable development and caring for the environment. This second edition aims to establish itself as a space for the socialization of scientific results and university management that constitute proposals for development.

Among its main objectives is to promote the exchange between professionals and researchers from different areas of knowledge and the socialization of novel results of science, technology and innovation. At the same time, it is intended to favor the conclusion and updating of projects, collaboration agreements and specific agreements between universities, social institutions and companies, for the establishment of international projects, networks and academic programs.

On this occasion, due to the attacks of COVID-19 worldwide; With the aim of providing the attendees with a positive and enriching experience and at the same time complying with the biosafety protocols, the meeting will take place from the virtual modality. The Organizing Committee will offer the necessary spaces for the fraternal exchange and of high scientific level between the specialists, personalities and participating authorities with an eye on joint actions for the fulfillment of the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, approved by the United Nations.

Within the framework of the Convention, the Rectors' and International Cooperation Forums will be developed, as is traditional, with the aim of strengthening institutional ties to achieve the proposed goals. The Canadian Studies Seminar and the Law and Society Forum enrich the event program
