To understand this phenomenon, this article proposes an analytical framework that contributes to the increasing neo-Gramscian orientation in political ecology, drawing also on the social theory of Foucault. In an exploratory manner, we apply this framework to the cases of two important dam projects: El Zapotillo, in Mexico, and HidroAysén, in Chile.</p> ER -
