This article presents the work done by national organizations known as Comisiones de Agua Potable (Drinking Water Commissions) across twelve communities in the central Mexican highlands. It analyzes five dimensions of the performance factors of Buena Gestión within these organizations with information generated through surveys and interviews conducted with twelve of its representatives and two representatives from municipal bodies. A Pareto chart was used to determine the dimensions that registered the greatest number of breaches of Buena Gestión. The factors that negatively affect the criteria established by Buena Gestión are associated to administrative, commercial and financial dimensions. The factors that operate in favor of Buena Gestión are autonomy, recognition and the existence of defined limits.</p> ER -
