Thus, the social construction of a natural heritage through the analyze of interrelation of spatial, practical and symbolic functions of urban streams within XVI and XXI centuries. The analyze focuses on understanding the metamorphosis of such niches of water aquifers, two rivers and intra and surrounding streams as references in the Guadalajara history and its development to large city. For what is meant to explore the reconfiguration of such spaces from three axes of analysis: 1) The historical transformation of space to explain the relevant facts mainly in colonial period; 2) The socio-urban functions of the streams with regard to XIX century; and finally, 3) Be addressed the changes and conflicts in an environmental history where contamination and depredation explains the XX and XXI centuries defining the metropolitan nature heritage.</em></p> ER -
