New records of Paratylenchus Micoletzky, 1922 (Nematoda: Paratylenchinae) from Viet Nam with description of Paratylenchus

Abstract

 

 

Fourteen species of pin nematodes, Paratylenchus spp., were recorded from natural forests of Viet Nam. These include thirteen known viz. P. aculentus, P. arculatus, P. colbrani, P. corbetti, P. costatus, P. dianthus, P. discocephalus, P. elachistus, P. epicotylus, P. nawadus, P. pandatus, P. perlatus, P. serricaudatus, and a new species, herein described, viz. P. laocaiensis sp. n. The new species differs from other known species of the genus by the relatively anterior position of the excretory pore and vulva, as well as the stylet extending posterior to the valve of the metacorpus.
