Author Guidelines

The Research and Education Electronic Journal (REID) follows the publication Standards of the American Psychological Association (APA) in its 6th Edition. They can be consulted here.

REID publishes works carried out with methodological rigor and that suppose a contribution to the progress in the field of Education. Meta-analysis, experimental, empirical and professional works are collected with preference for those who present current issues of scientific relevance. One of the objectives of REID is its interdisciplinary nature within the field of education.

Works will be accepted in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

All texts submitted for its revision and eventual publication in the journal must comply with the following criteria:

  • Article length: between 6000 and 7000 words, and no numbers on pages. Articles that do not meet the length requirement will not be admitted.
  • Format: Font must be Times New Roman letter size 12 and paragraphs must be justified at both margins. The left margin must be at 3.5 and the rest must be 2.5.  Space must be simple and the first line must have an indent of 1.25 cm. Titles will be in lower case bold and the subtitles in bold and italics. Always without page number.
  • Identification of the author (s): The identification of the authors will be uploaded to the platform as a complementary file following the template of authorship declaration and conflicts of interest.
  • Article Title. In the authors language and also in the other languages of the journal (this case, Spanish, Portuguese, English)
  • Summary.  (Between 200 and 250 words), in both languages of the journal plus English.
  • Keywords (between 3 and 5).
  • Article Text: The following structured is suggested:  Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion and Conclusion, References.

When presenting the work the technical indications included in the text of the template below will be followed, which also has a definite article format:

It is mandatory to send the Declaration of interests together the manuscript.

It is suggested to include some quotes from articles published in REID.


Review of manuscripts

Once the evaluation of the article is done, the author will receive notification of its acceptance or not. In case of having to make any modification, this will be done following the following rules:

The deleted text will be crossed out in the manuscript.

The new text will go in red.

The new version of the manuscript will be uploaded to the platform as "Complementary file", never as a new shipment. In the section "Norms for authors" there are indications of how to carry it out.

Rights All rights to the articles are property of REID. Reproduction and distribution is authorized (in any type of support) provided that the content is scrupulously respected and all the details of the corresponding article are indicated.
