This paper is a first approximation to the glazed ceramic from Cordova (Spain) from Emirate phase. Firstly, there is a summary of a few findings exhumed and published in Cordova. Then, a study of a very interesting ceramic assemblage is presented due to it being a closed context, dated to the late 9th or early 10th centuries. The importance of this discovery lies in the quality of the pieces and the variety in their forms and decorations. Some of these pieces have similarities with other ceramics from al-Andalus, such as Pechina (Almería), while others have parallels with Oriental ceramics.
