El “Vall Vell” de Valencia: Un registro cerámico excepcional de los siglos XIII-XIV

Con motivo de la invitación cordialísima de Vicente Salvatierra desde la Universidad de Jaén para participar en un merecidísimo –mal que le pese– homenaje al maestro y amigo Guillermo Rosselló-Bordoy, nos hemos planteado el ejercicio intelectivo de efectuar la presentación analítica de unos conjuntos cerámicos singulares, específicos de los siglos XIII y XIV, depositados en el seno de un espacio urbano privilegiado–desde la perspectiva sedimentaria– de la urbe valenciana, como es el antiguo foso de su muralla islámica o "Vall Vell", concretamente ubicado en las inmediaciones de la antigua puerta de la Exerea, que nos han posibilitado la definición formal de ambientes cerámicos apenas intuidos por la investigación, como los propios del siglo XIII cristiano, evidenciando tanto las presencias de manufacturas foráneas, como pervivencias claramente islámicas.
