Nuevos datos para el estudio del sistema de fortificación medieval de la ciudad de Jaén
Intervención arqueológica en la Puerta de Martos

La intervención arqueológica junto a la antigua Puerta de Martos de la ciudad de Jaén se realizó en el año 2002, en elmarco de actuaciones que el Proyecto Urban (Ayuntamiento de Jaén) viene desarrollando en los últimos años en distintos espacios públicos de la ciudad. De esta forma, se llevó a cabo una exca vación arqueológica que hoy en día llamaríamos preventiva, con motivo de la construcción de una nueva plaza que los vecinos del barrio venían reclamando desde hacía largotiempo.
