El foso defensivo del sistema de fortificación de la ciudad medieval de Jaén

En el año 2002, con motivo de una excavación arqueológica de urgencia en un solar de nueva construcción en la calle Millán de Priego nº 59 , se consiguieron recuperar nue- vos datos para el conocimiento del sistema de fortificación medieval de la ciudad de Jaén. La vivienda quedaba ubicada en el límite del Casco Histórico, en concreto junto a uno de los lienzos de muralla que bordean la ciudad medieval, el cual servía de medianería al edificio con las viviendas colindantes.
