Resumen

El diccionario del español para la producción de textos es una herramienta de consulta diseñada para ayudar a un usuario tipo, por ejemplo un ser humano o un programa informático, a solucionar problemas de redacción. Este diccionario tiene en abril de 2017 alrededor de 80.000 acepciones descritas (aumenta el número de las mismas a una media de 30.000 acepciones por año) y es un integrante de un portal lexicográfico con objetivos comerciales, Diccionarios Valladolid-UVa. El diccionario presenta novedades teóricas y prácticas basadas en la idea de que un diccionario de internet debe ser un diccionario dinámico, es decir, un diccionario que ofrece varias posibilidades de consulta gracias a la interrelación de los tres componentes básicos de un diccionario de internet: (a) una base de datos lexicográfica o editor; (b) uno o varios motores  de búsqueda; (c) una o varias interfaces. Como los paquetes informáticos comerciales existentes en la actualidad no permiten el desarrollo de este tipo de diccionarios, nuestros diccionarios se diseñan y construyen con tecnologías propias pensadas para favorecer el proceso de construcción, actualizar los datos lexicográficos al minuto, reusar los datos lexicográficos existentes y hacer uso tanto de tecnologías propias (por ejemplo, sistemas de búsquedas maximizadoras) como de libre disposición (por ejemplo Ngram Viewer).

Biografía del autor/a

Pedro A. Fuertes-Olivera, Universidad de Valladolid Universidad de Stellenbosch (Department of Afrikaans and Dutch)

Pedro A. Fuertes-Oliverais Full Professor at the University of Valladolid, Extraordinary Professor at the University of Stellenbosch (Department of Afrikaans and Dutch), and Tutor at the Spanish Open University. He has also taught at Aarhus University (Visiting Scholar 2007 and Velux Vising Scholar 2011-2012). His interest lies in lexicography, translation, and ESP. He has published around 150 academic papers, books and dictionaries, most of which have appeared in well-known academic journals and international collections. He is member of the Advisory Board of several national and International journals, has been Review Editor of Ibérica, and regularly acts as referee of Applied Linguistics, Lexikos, International Journal of Lexicography, English for Specific Purposes, Journal of Pragmatics, Hermes, Signos and African Journal of History and Culture. He is currently the main researcher of several funded research projects and the Director of the International Centre for Lexicography, a research group devoted to dictionary making and theory building. He is also working with Ordbogen A/S, a language technology Danish company. In the last 8 years he has been invited to lecture in China (Guangdong University of Foreign Studies; ChinaLex and the Commercial Press), Denmark (Aarhus University), Germany (Hildesheim University), Namibia (National University), South Africa (Pretoria and Stellenbosch universities), Thailand (ASIALEX 2018) and several Spanish universities. He has co-authored Pedagogical Specialised Lexicography (2008; John Benjamins), and Theory and Practice of Specialised Online Dictionaries. Lexicography versus Terminography (2014, de Gruyter). He has also edited Specialised Dictionaries for Learners (2010; de Gruyter), and co-edited e-Lexicography: The Internet, Digital Initiatives and Lexicography (2011; Continuum, now Bloomsbury Academics). In 2014, Routledge commissioned him to edit The Routledge Handbook of Lexicography, which has been published in 2017 (online) and 2018 (Hardback). He is also the editor of the Diccionarios Valladolid-UVa, an integrated economically-driven dictionary portal which is being built at the University of Valladolid and funded by Ordbogen A/S, the University of Valladolid and several other institutions.  This portal will be in the market in 2018 or 2019.
