    Agua y Territorio / Water and Landscape (AYT/WAL) is a journal of the University of Jaén promoted by the Permanent Seminar Water, Territory and Environment (Escuela de Estudios Hispanoamericanos from Seville-CSIC).

    It has been published since 2013 and has been quarterly since 2025 (January, April, July and October).  It publishes quality, unpublished research papers in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French and Italian. Its objective is to address the use and management of water, as well as its use for sustainable development, from different scientific fields. The journal has a multidisciplinary approach, especially from the perspective of History, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Law, Environmental Sciences, Anthropology and Social Sciences in general.

    It is in the citation indicators JCR (Journal Citation Reports) and SJR (SCImago Journal Rank).

    It is indexed in SCOPUS and in Web of Science Core Collection: Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). It has the FECYT Seal of Quality for Scientific Journals.

    It is indexed in other catalogues such as LATINDEX (Ibero-American), MIAR (Information Matrix for the Analysis of Journals), CIRC (Integrated Classification of Scientific Journals), Qualis Periódicos (Classification of Brazilian scientific journals by CAPES - SUCUPIRA).

    Antropología Experimental publishes original works (putting them into circulation via this web in pdf format of free access) referred to any of the themes, currents and branches that relate to Social Anthropology in particular and contemporary critical thinking in general. Research works, essays, field notes, experimental and literary formulations that have social anthropology, philosophy, humanities or cultural and social studies as the center of their approach are admitted. All this under the cross-cutting of gender, political ecology, art and critical thinking.

  • Arqueologia y Territorio Medieval

    “Arqueologia y Territorio Medieval” (Archaeology and Medieval Territory) began to be published in 1993 by the the department of Medieval History of the University of Jaen, with the support of high level specialist from other Universities and other Spanish and European research centers. The purpose was having a tool that would contribute to the scientific dissemination and therefore to the consolidation of the medieval archaeology in Spain. The aim is to publish original works of interest and quality, unpublished before, related to the archaeology of the medieval societies between the 5th and the 15th centuries, accepting its extensions in later periods. The journal demands all the quality requirements and applies the peer review system. It is open to the participation of all researchers and allows free access to its contents. The journal´s policy will be lead essentially by the ethical commitment of the scientific investigation

  • AULA DE ENCUENTRO

    Aula de Encuentro is an Open Access Journal published every six months, edited by the University Center "Sagrada Familia" of Úbeda, affiliated centre of the University of Jaén. Our journal aims to foster research and communication, the interchange of ideas and the shared reflection among teaching professionals, both nationally and internationally. Likewise, the scope of the journal is open to offer didactic approaches and experiences that favor an education based on equality, justice and inclusion for the integral development of future citizens and citizens capable of fostering coexistence and respect for individual differences, promoting solidarity and avoiding discrimination.

    The Boletín de Literatura Oral is a journal devoted to research in hispanic oral tradition. The languages used are English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. The Boletín de Literatura Oral only publishes original articles. The high standard of the editorial process guarantees the quality of each issue.

    The BLO is published regularly on July 15 of each year. Each number includes the contributions that have been accepted between June 16 of the previous year and June 15 of the year of publication. This is the deadline to submit articles that are published in the current year.

    The Journal of Business Studies. Segunda Época is a biannual publication (january and july), open access, of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of the University of Jaén. Its objective is to contribute to the scientific debate in the fields of the Economy in general and the Company in particular, with the publication of research works, both in Spanish and in English, that meet the appropriate requirements of rigor and quality. For this, the received works are subjected to double anonymous evaluation by pairs.

    The Journal of Legal Studies is a journal edited by the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of the University of Jaén (Spain). Its publication is annual and is structured in four blocks: articles, notes, legislative and/or jurisprudential comments and Debate Forum. It has a marked interdisciplinary character linked to all sectors of the legal system, not only national but also international, to the extent that although Spanish law studies prevail, there are also numerous published research and works of European and International Law. Based on a process of evaluation by pairs of all the research and works that are received, the Journal of Legal Studies is composed, as far as its structure, of the Editorial Team (Direction and Secretariat), of an Editorial Board (composed of representatives of the legal areas of the Faculty of Law) and, as well as, an Editorial Council (composed of full professors and professors of the legal areas of the Faculty of Law) and an Advisory Board (composed of professors from European and American Universities).

    RILEX. Journal on Lexical Research is a specialized journal that includes studies and research related to the lexical level of the Spanish language, prioritizing proposals related to the following branches of linguistics: lexicology, lexicography, and vocabulary teaching.

    The orientation of the proposals can be theoretical or practical and adopt both diachronic and synchronic approaches. The publication languages can be both Spanish and English.

    It is published semi-annually, in January and July. The published texts are subjected to an external expert review system (peer review), established according to the publication guidelines dictated by the American Psychological Association (APA) in its latest edition.
