La consolidación del hábito lector en un mundo globalizado: la mediación familiar y docente

A menudo se alude a la falta de hábito lector por parte de la sociedad española. En este trabajo nos cuestionamos las causas por las que, a pesar de los instrumentos tecnológicos de los que disponemos, no se ha arraigado el gusto por la lectura con la misma fuerza que en otros países de nuestro entorno. Con objeto de ofrecer posibles respuestas e incluso algunas propuestas, hemos realizado un estudio cuantitativo con alumnado adolescente del ámbito rural manchego. La finalidad del estudio es determinar las correlaciones existentes entre las diferentes creencias y actitudes en torno al fenómeno lector, para así comprender la situación actual y poder emprender medidas para la consecución de nuestro propósito: la consolidación del hábito lector como base del desarrollo de una sociedad democrática y crítica en el contexto de un mundo globalizado.
