Termalismo y territorio a través del tiempo. Una ventana abierta al papel del patrimonio termal desde época romana hasta la actualidad

Fundamentación
El termalismo forma parte intrínseca de muchos territorios tanto de la geografía peninsular como de otros ámbitos europeos y latinoamericanos, siendo un recurso natural que, si bien se ha considerado siempre valioso históricamente por las cualidades salutíferas de sus aguas, pocas veces se ha tratado el papel social, económico y estratégico que han cumplido los establecimientos termales en el territorio a lo largo de la historia, desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar y multidisciplinar. No obstante, constituye una línea de trabajo que se antoja emergente y que combina el interés por el recurso agua, el patrimonio histórico y el sentido más amplio de territorialidad que conecta a la población y la esfera socioeconómica con los espacios termales. Todo ello hace que este tipo de estudios muestren un fuerte carácter multidisciplinar, con el objetivo de aprender del pasado para que el valor de las aguas termales se reconozca como lugares de cura, encuentro, intercambio cultural y social, así como por su indiscutible protagonismo en el territorio
La presente convocatoria espera reunir contribuciones que analicen el origen y el desarrollo de este fenómeno, a través de diferentes herramientas y perspectivas de estudio que permitan comprender la trascendencia e importancia de los manantiales de aguas mineromedicinales para la configuración del territorio, en diferentes épocas y en distintos contextos. Para ello se abre la recepción de artículos procedentes de diferentes perspectivas, que pretendan configurar un enfoque sobre el que se pueda afrontar los retos y oportunidades a las que se enfrentan las villas termales y las áreas dotadas de un recurso excepcional que debe ser motor de desarrollo y futuro.

2025-01-21INFORMACIÓN PARA EL ENVÍO DE NUEVAS COMUNICACIONESTodas aquellas personas que deseen enviar una NUEVA comunicación y participar en el Congreso deben:
1 - Revisar el listado de Sesiones y comprobar la que se ajusta al tema de su Comunicación.
2 - Escribir y contactar con los Coordinadores de la Sesión elegida, para solicitar la inclusión de la Comunicación.
3 - Tras obtener el visto bueno de los Coordinadores de la Sesión, es necesario enviar un correo electrónico al Comité Organizador (congresoagua@ujaen.es) y adjuntar obligatoriamente un documento de Word con el titulo, resumen (150 palabras) y palabras clave (5) de la Comunicación. 2024-07-31The dossier AGUA E HISTORIA DEL PAISAJE EN LA CORONA DE ARAGÓN: DISTINCTAS APROXIMACIONES (WATER AND LANDSCAPE HISTORY IN THE CROWN OF ARAGON: DIFFERENT APPROXIMATIONS) has been published. It includes articles by professors Enric Guinot, Jordi Bolós, Enric Vicedo-Rius, Ramón Martí Castelló and Joan Negre Pérez.
The Miscellaneous section has also published various articles on a variety of subjects in Cuba, Colombia, Palestine, Brazil, Spain and Mexico: groundwater, hydrographic basins, hydrological planning, ethnology, the Human Right to Water, flood warning messages, as well as issues related to drinking water supply.

INDEXATION 2024 OF AGUA Y TERRITORIO / WATER AND LANDSCAPE
2024-07-30In May, SCOPUS updated the information that feeds the CiteScore and the Scimago Journal Rank (SJR).
Agua y Territorio / Wáter and Landscape appears in SJR with the following indicators: CiteScore 2023, 0.5; SJR 2023, 0.250 and SNIP 2023, 1.046; which places the journal in Q1 in the History category, Q2 in the Arts and Humanities (miscellaneous) category, Q3 in the Economics, Econometrics and Finance (miscellaneous) category and Q3 in the Geography, Planning and Development category.
The Journal Citation Reports (JCR, 2024) update was published in June. The journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) were included and classified with the rest, receiving an impact factor, or Journal Impact Factor (JIF), to one decimal place.
Agua y Territorio / Wáter and Landscape appears in JCR in the Water Resources category with a JIF of 0.8 for 2023, a figure that places the journal in Q4 of this category.
On 24 July the FECYT has published the final list of journals that will renew its Seal in 2024.
Agua y Territorio / Wáter and Landscape has renewed the FECYT Seal in the category of History with a score of 46.22 and has obtained the Mention of good editorial practices in gender equality.

El déficit de agua experimentado actualmente en Cataluña y Andalucía o la extracción excesiva e incontrolada de aguas subterráneas en el Algarve son en parte consecuencia de la concepción sobre la explotación hídrica y de las políticas de aguas llevadas a cabo en los últimos setenta años. El desarrollo de las grandes obras públicas, tanto para la ampliación del regadío, como para la producción de energía eléctrica, tocó su auge en Europa en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. La regulación de las aguas se había convertido en uno de los objetivos principales para los países ibéricos, que acusaban, primero una escasez de recursos, luego un desequilibrio hídrico entre las diferentes partes de un país. En España y Portugal esta inquietud era compartida tanto por los gobernantes, como por los organismos técnicos encargado de llevar a cabo la planificación y las obras, como las confederaciones hidrográficas o los institutos de colonización. Los ingenieros, tanto los agrónomos como los de caminos, canales y puertos, se consideraban los actores principales de la misión hidráulica del Estado. Sin embargo, también las asociaciones agrarias, las empresas hidroeléctricas o de construcción, las organizaciones sindicales o corporativas, las comunidades locales y, a partir de los años setenta, los movimientos vecinales y ecologistas, pretendían tener voz en la gestión de las aguas y en la transformación del territorio.
En esta sesión se dialogará sobre los paradigmas relacionados con la gestión del agua durante los siglos XX y XXI en la península ibérica, incluyendo los discursos y las prácticas de los actores interesados en la regulación hidráulica, tanto durante los Estados Nuevos de Franco y Salazar, como en la época de la transición y la democracia. En primer lugar, se discutirá el papel “a-político” de los ingenieros y la narrativa sobre el control de la naturaleza. En segundo lugar, se analizarán las políticas de modernización rural, de electrificación y de colonización considerando las dinámicas entre el centro y la periferia. Finalmente, se dará cuenta de la relación entre políticos, ingenieros, élites económicas y locales y el resto de la ciudadanía, especialmente en torno a la construcción de las presas hidroeléctricas, de los trasvases y de la ampliación del regadío, así como las consecuencias y retos del paradigma reciente de la planificación hidrológica. De esta forma, se pretende dar cuenta de la complejidad de los usos y dominio de las aguas, y de la constante negociación, conflictividad y colaboración entre los diversos actores de inmersos en los paradigmas de gestión del agua. Asimismo, se quieren delinear las posibles continuidades y rupturas en esas políticas de obras públicas entre las dictaduras ibéricas y los gobiernos democráticos del último cuarto de siglo, hasta la más reciente planificación hidrológica.

2022-05-06The IV INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR WATER, TERRITORY AND ENVIRONMENT will take place on 10 and 11 November 2022. The International Network of Reading Universities, the University of Jaén, together with the academic journals ALÁBE and AGUA y TERRITORIO, are promoting this international event with the slogan "Narratives and imaginaries of water: Anthropology, Literature, Heritage and Social Sciences".
