This paper presents a comparative study of a weather forecasts’ collection registered in different villages of Ávila and Salamanca’s provinces. The several oral testimonies collected in this work are about the popular belief that associates the amval of early winter’s cold with the sighting of certain birds as cranes, lapwings, wagtail and the like.
