Cuentos de brujas, gigantes y luces en Gran Canaria: aspectos literarios / Tales about Witches, Giants and Lights in Gran Canaria: Literary Aspects
Keywords:
witches' tales, giants and lights, Gran Canaria, oral traditionAbstract
One of the subgenres of oral literature perhaps most neglected and least studied is that of popular beliefs of anecdotes and little stories such as witches, lights and apparitions. Becquer, in his Legends and from the field of written literature, also inserted that popular taste for the paranormal and the strange telling short stories about appearances and lights. In this article I present some examples of stories of witches, giants and strange lights compiled by me in Gran Canaria.
