Oral literature is a rich and endless source of vocabulary, passing down from generation to generation. Moreover, it is usually circumscribed to well enclosed dialectal areas whose lexicon is not included in typical general dictionaries.
The present research extracts and compiles Andalusian lexical expressions found in the samples gathered from towns of Sierra de Segura and which have been incorporated in the Corpus de Literatura Oral, with the aim of sharing the history of these documented dialectal voices and their possible track in the lexicographic catalogues of the Spanish language.
