We present texts from the oral literature of Laghouat (Algeria) collected by a white sister around 1970 in a booklet found in the General Archive of the White Sisters in Rome. It consists of phrases, stories, lullabies, couplets for the evil eye, prayers, ethnographic texts, children's lexicon and lexicon related to woollen work. All this material belongs to both the poetic and narrative genres and is accompanied by a study. We also conclude with a presentation of the most relevant linguistic features.
