La Lira Popular (Lima, 1921-1923): First reflections on an (almost) forgotten Cancionero

The article presents the cancionero Lira Popular de Lima, which is discussed here for the first time because of its rarity in archives and libraries. The article provides information on the modalities and principles of the production of the cancionero and explains possible approaches to include the cancionero in future research on musical life in Lima in the first half of the twentieth century.
