Mourning process in children. A systematic review

Abstract

In the past year there is growing recognition emotional and social problems originating in children as a result of the loss of a family member or loved one. Unfortunately, at present this phenomenon has been accused due to pandemic situation produced by Covid-19 that our country go through. Death, demise and disappearance are very broad and complicated concepts which are interpreted in different ways according to individual conceptions of each person, but how do children live this situation? What they feel? The following study focus on understand the feelings and emotions that children manifest during their mourning process, as well as to analyze different intervention programs that facilitate this process. For this reason, a systematic review has been carried out in order to observe and study the most relevant and significant information in this field.
