The educational care of minors deprived of liberty is a concern in places with high rates of violence and insecurity, as in the case of Honduras. For this purpose, we present a pilot project called Letters of Hope designed in the pandemic in collaboration with the National Institute for the Care of Minor Offenders (INAMI). Letters are used as an instrument to achieve social involvement, the personal development of adolescents and their communication skills. The first results of the interviews with the participants and the coordination team point out the technical difficulties, along with the positive perceptions of the participants in relation to the emotional well-being of the minors. The experience shows the importance of mentoring through technology, as a form of educational counseling.
