This paper presents an educational outreach experience in numismatic content conducted with secondary students from the educational centre 'IES El Valle' (Jaén). This experience is part of the non-university teaching and scientific outreach project 'Explora-IES' by the University of Jaén. During the initial working session of this project, an introduction to numismatic research and methodology was provided. Subsequently, a lecture-workshop was carried out using materials and equipment employed for the preservation, study, and analysis of monetary pieces. Finally, on May 3, 2023, during a concluding conference-meeting at the University of Jaén, the knowledge acquired throughout this project was presented via a poster and a brief talk delivered by the students.
