Dear readers,

As in previous years, JCR (Journal Citation Reports) and SJR (SCImago Journal Rank) have published the 2025 impact factors for academic journals included in their respective databases: Web of Science (Claravite) and Scopus (Elsevier).

The journal Agua y Territorio / Water and Landscape (AYT / WAL) has improved its impact factors in both indices.

The JCR’s 2025 Journal Impact Factor (JIF) has risen to 0.15 (up from 0.13 in 2024). The journal therefore remains in the fourth quartile (Q4) in the WATER RESOURCES category.

The 2025 SJR impact factor has risen to 0.298 (compared to 0.241 in 2024), the CiteScore to 1 (compared to 0.8 in 2024), and it has risen to the 80th percentile (76th in 2024) in HISTORY. The journal has therefore consolidated its position in the first quartile (Q1) of this category. Furthermore, the journal has also improved in the categories of ECONOMICS, ECONOMETRICS AND FINANCE and GEOGRAPHY, SPATIAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT, remaining within the third quartile (Q3).
