Abstract

La grande pressione demografica e un clima di caratteristiche semi-aride riducono la disponibilità di acqua nel sud della California. Sono stati effettuati vari trasferimenti con l'obiettivo di fornire acqua all'agglomerato urbano di Los Angeles. Recentemente, sono state prese in considerazione nuove tecniche di dissalazione e riciclaggio delle acque reflue. L'articolo fa un tour storico dell'approvvigionamento idrico in questa regione e presenta un riassunto della situazione attuale
