Tales from Oran and its Region (Algeria)

We present eight tales in Algerian Arabic that were collected in Oran from two informants, one originally from Boutlelis, 35 km from this city, and the other a native of Oran. Our objective is, on the one hand, to compare them with the North African and Iberian tradition, and, on the other, to place them in their sociolinguistic context and offer the most relevant dialectological characteristics, emphasizing the diatopic differences.
