Abstract

In this paper we approach the current economic crisis in order to introduce new perspectives to overturn the usual discourse. Following the thought of Gabriel Tarde, it is assumed that what makes a relationship economic is the embedded calculation techniques from the economists; and that the formation of value cannot be sought in the production because it is based in beliefs, desires and wills. Traveling through this plot, it is observed that finance capitalism would be the result of the progressive “self-absorption” of capital, which enables the transformation of political economy into something virtual, but capable of extracting surplus value and to exercise control over the biopolitical production.
