Abstract

New engagements of interaction between the government and public actors have encouraged participation of different sectors in decision making and with it, the emergence of public policy networks; seen in general terms as the participation of actors around one main issue of common interest. In this article, it is analyzed the structure of the network throughout the
process of awareness raising promoted by the local authorities of San Miguel Almaya, Mexico; everything with the intention to integrate population and other areas of governance in problems that will improve living conditions of the community and will help to create conditions to offer tourism. Results have shown a weak coordination in networks, lack of cooperation and disjoined actions that avoided the construction of strong and lasting relationships among their
participants.
