Abstract

From a recent fieldwork experience within historic downtown of Manizales city (Colombia), this article examines the topic of anthropological fieldwork approach, across usual places for
the ethnographer (chez nous) as an activity that implies recognition besides a singular situation for the anthropologist, who becomes a research subject of his/her own places. At the same time, the article shows how constant features of reflexivity among this recognition activity and the representation of experience are captured in writings of ethnographical text
