Abstract

This paper presents an interpretation of the historical meaning associated to the Spanish social movement “15 de mayo”. This interpretation is carried out through an ethnographic methodology developed from fieldwork realized within the movement and from the analysis of some of the materials produced by the movement, as texts or videos. Particularly, it is analyzed the documentary film “Banderas falsas” (2011), directed by Carlos Serrano Azcona. The main conclusion of the work is that the movement “15 de mayo”, together with other similar social movements emerged in Europe and the USA, represent the resurgence of the class struggle in the Western world.
