Abstract

This paper discusses the last Copenhagen’s climate counter summit, celebrated between 11th and 18th December 2009. I will describe the organization and the actions taken by Global
Movement, and I will discuss his new directions and reconfigurations. The international crisis forces us to pay attention to the alternatives and the proposals of the social movements, at the same time that this historical moment forces them to think about themselves, about their own objectives and their own expectations. I will discuss about the different kind of demonstrations, the internal debates, and the autonomy of the movement or the new ways of political imagination, all in order to considerer the polyphony of Global Movement. This paper is a chronicle of a social movement who ten years after Seattle decided to turn possible into necessary.
