The figure of the rural teacher in the Second Republic
Abstract
On the following pages there is analyzed the figure of the rural teachers, centring on the period of the Second Spanish Republic (1931 - 1939). We will center our study on testimonies of direct witnesses, and will realize a brief trip for the situation of teachers in the above mentioned historical stage. Finally, we will outline the principal characteristics of the rural teacher as personage who must be studied appropriately in the history of the education of our country.
