Abstract

This work has the aim to discuss the results of a study based on a bibliographical or descriptive module, which analises the citizen’s orientation according to his/her age. The study is focused on young people and also on people who have a more advanced age. Contemporally the organizations search for generating intimacy with the citizens. Having as an objective to identify and to describe the behavior of these
ones, in order to look for, in a permanent way, the satisfaction of their expectations, gathering inherent
characteristics to specific particularities, in this case, the ones related to their ages. The basic thought is that the age conditionates a group of behaviors and, since mapped, by the Police Organizations, this may present important actives to the promotion of Public Safety, diminishing the fear of crime and providing a better sensation of security. This study proposes to better understand the concepts which guide the
operational action planning complying with the external expectations according to the group’s age. The first part of this article contextualizes the services promoted by the Police in consonance with the ages and other variables that influence the citizens’ behavior, while the second part has to do with the Police action strategies and at last, the influence of the media according to the citizen’s age and the search for the Public Safety actives.
