Abstract

The contributions of Stephen Gudeman in economic anthropology - oriented originally by the value theory of Piero Sraffa and later by the schumpeterian conception of economic
development - have been able to equip to the culturalist current with certain theoretical depth and a relatively homogenous language when focusing in the processes of innovation in the productive context. Now then, the extreme ethnoeconomic episthemology does very difficult to understand the feeding and feedback processes between productive context and innovation when being centred exclusively in a frame of adoption of innovations and not trying to conform a processualist or adaptive theoretical frame, in my view, the overcoming of this paralyzation could been specially glimpsed in the contemporary contributions of the “neoinstitutionalist economics” and of the “evolutionary economics”.
