Abstract

Based on different investigative experiences over almost a decade of work with indigenous organizations, and in the understanding of the impossibility of splitting the theory of method, we propose to reflect on certain thresholds that serve to open a decolonizing praxis in social research. Through the critique of the coloniality of knowledge in the anthropological task, our starting point is located from an ethical political position rooted in an interculturalizing practice of action research. Thus, we will review critically some topics of our discipline such as field work, the role of anthropologists, authorship, objectivity, the assumption of neutrality. Finally, we will propose some guiding lines for research processes and knowledge production in another way.
