From the history of cultural anthropology to neoruralism
Associationism and alternative life in the rural world of the South and North of the Spain

The following work qualitatively analyzes the strengths and advantages of living in rural spaces through the perspective of the people who live in such environments. An online survey has been carried out aimed at people living in certain rural contexts in Spain. The research shows that the rural environment can be an alternative space where community links can be created through a perspective of care towards the people who live there and towards the territory, where local management and the improvement of coexistence are promoted, by At the same time as this The environment is not exempt from certain shortcomings, such as the lack of administrative aid to generate employment, opportunities outside the agricultural and livestock sector or teleworking and low salaries. One of the particularities observed are the advantages of strengthening Networks at the community level, these being indicators of some towns that could probably be being depopulated and with the arrival of new families, other community perspectives and work alternatives and personal projects emerge. For all these reasons, the research answers the following main question: What are the premises to strengthen the rural associative fabric? And on what factors does it depend on whether a rural territory is preserved with the people who inhabit it?
