From a cultural diversity to a transcultural education

In the first part of this article, a bibliographical review in terms of concept including the terms culture, cultural diversity, transculturalism, multiculturalism and interculturalism will be developed. Once this is carried out, the importance that must be given to the cultural diversity in the class and how to give response to this diversity through the emotional education will be shown. Besides, emotional intelligence will be set out as a method to improve intrapersonal and interpersonal relations and to foster social skills. All this enriches and stimulates intercultural education seeking a transculturalism oriented towards a social inclusion in order to go forwards and achieve a transcultural society.
