Labor training in special education: its contribution to the sociolaboral integration of schools with intellectual disabilities

This article addresses aspects related to the emergence and topicality of job training and job preparation in Cuba, specifically in special education and particularly in schoolchildren who have intellectual disabilities. The different moments through which job training and job training in this teaching in Cuba are covered and the role that the school, the family and the teacher must play in this training process and the preparation of schoolchildren for inclusion in the socio-labor world. A theoretical and conceptual analysis of job training, job preparation and the objectives it aims to achieve for this teaching is carried out, as well as the concepts of job training and job preparation given by various national and international researchers. Emphasis is placed not only on the training of this process, but also on the contribution that job training can make to the correction and / or compensation of schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities.
