Abstract

This paper presents a cross-disciplinary experience in higher education involving students from Psychology and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. By employing active methodologies, authentic leadership, and digital technologies, the project facilitated collaborative teamwork focused on solving practical cases related to personality, motivation, and tactical decision-making in sport contexts. The assessment included questionnaires, interviews, and portfolio analyses, revealing significant improvements in communication, motivation, and transversal competencies such as creativity, empathy, and critical thinking. The results suggest that the interdisciplinary approach promotes holistic learning by integrating technical knowledge with soft skills, preparing future professionals for complex multidisciplinary environments. Moreover, this model fosters ethical values, responsibility, and social commitment, contributing to educational innovation and enhanced university training. These findings highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration as a key strategy for comprehensive professional development in contemporary higher education.
