INDUSTRIAL POLICY AND SMES IN SPAIN: THE IMPORTANCE OF TERRITORY
Abstract
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have played a prominent role in the process of industrialization Spanish. These SMEs have been favored by specific policies from different regions have been able to promote. Specifically Technological Institutes and Centers Business Services have been the drivers and where these policies have been channeled. Recently the implementation of programs to promote innovative clusters (Agrupaciones de Empresas Innovadoras) which are coming to synthesize stimulus policies for the development of SMEs in the Spanish case.
