Jóvenes PYMES tecnológicas en España: análisis del ecosistema financiero como factor estratégico en su crecimiento

Las empresas de tecnología son fundamentales para el desarrollo de la economía de un país, por lo que analizar posibles factores que ayuden a su creación y consolidación resulta clave. La presente investigación estudia la conexión entre el crecimiento de las jóvenes empresas de tecnología y el ecosistema financiero, marcado por la irrupción de nuevas fuentes de financiación más ágiles y flexibles. En concreto, se realiza un análisis empírico utilizando un indicador del desarrollo del entorno financiero que toma en consideración todas las fuentes alternativas de financiación externa disponibles. Para su análisis, se aplica la metodología de datos de panel, concretamente el estimador GLS de Baltagi-Wu con modelo de efectos aleatorios, en una muestra de 158 jóvenes PYMEs de tecnología de las diferentes comunidades autónomas españolas. Los resultados, entre otros, evidencian una relación positiva y significativa entre el desarrollo del ecosistema financiero regional y el crecimiento en ventas y activos de las jóvenes PYMEs de tecnología, mostrando que las regiones con ecosistemas financieros más desarrollados ofrecen mayores oportunidades de crecimiento. Ello tiene implicaciones para los responsables de dirección de operaciones, pues se confirma que la decisión estratégica de localización en una u otra región no sólo afecta a aspectos como los productivos y logísticos, sino también al acceso a fuentes de financiación, que tendrá impacto directo en el crecimiento de las ventas y los activos. Igualmente, los políticos y gestores públicos deben ser conscientes de la importancia de promover ecosistemas financieros adecuados que faciliten el desarrollo y supervivencia de estas empresas.
