Deslocalización e inversión extranjera directa. Incidencia en la economía vasca
Abstract
El fenómeno de la deslocalización es un concepto ambiguo, por lo que es difícil distinguirlo de los fenómenos de la producción internacional y de la inversión extranjera directa. El presente trabajo intenta clarificar este concepto, al mismo tiempo que intenta mostrar las circunstancias bajo las cuales un proceso de este tipo tendría un efecto negativo sobre la economía origen de la deslocalización. Asimismo, el trabajo analiza la amenaza para la economía española procedente de los países de la Europa Central y del Este. Por último, se presta atención a los riesgos para la economía vasca de la amenaza de la deslocalización hacia aquellas economías.
ABSTRACT
The phenomenon of the offshoring is a very ambiguous one. Nowadays, it is very complicated to make a clear-cut distinction among the offshoring and the related phenomenons of international production and foreign direct investment. This paper tries to clarify the former concept, and, at the same time, to show the elements that make the offshoring process have a negative impact on the economy of the offshoring origin. Additionally, the paper studies the threat to the Spanish economy coming from the Central and Eastern Europe. Lastly, we pay attention to the risks to the economy of the Basque Country from the threat of the offshoring of those countries.
