Jean Monnet actions constitute an opportunity to attract funding from the European Union to
carry out research activities, transfer of knowledge and innovative teaching at the university
level. These actions encourage both the contents and evaluation of the lessons and the deployment
of complementary activities and the introduction of new information and communication
technologies (ICT) in teaching activities, all of this with a European approach. The Jean Monnet
Module on Economic and Financial System and Regional Development (EUFIREG) of the
University of Cantabria, carried out between 2020 and 2023, has focused on two subjects that
are part of the Degree in Economics: Economic and Financial System and Regional Economics.
During the two first years, the Module coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a result
the development of the Module has relied intensively on the use of ICT. This paper analyses the
impact of the activities developed as part of this Jean Monnet Module on student satisfaction.
It includes a general description of the activities carried out as part of the Module and the
indicators to measure their impact, which serves to show the content and scope of this kind of
project. Next, it includes a comparative analysis of the evolution of student satisfaction, from
six items related to teaching, on the subject Economic and Financial System.
