In geographical areas such as the Iberian Peninsula, with few exceptions, water is a scarce commodity and water supply has always been a priority. Therefore, water management has always been at the centre of many of the decisions taken over time, generating, on many occasions, numerous disputes. This monograph aims to take these aspects into account by means of a series of case studies, which attempt, from different problems but with many points in common, to highlight aspects as diverse as water supply in cities with scarce rainfall, the management conflicts and interests generated around water, the distribution of water uses and even the representation of water itself through an iconographic imaginary that is worth considering.
