Resumo

A água é um elemento essencial na cultura grega e também no seu imaginário coletivo. Este artigo estuda este elemento numa perspetiva mitológica, centrando-se nas características atribuídas à água no imaginário grego e nas principais divindades associadas a elementos hidrográficos. O estudo evidencia a riqueza simbólica da água e ajuda a compreender como os gregos entendiam o seu mundo.
