A caminhada de Jesus sobre o mar (Mc 6,45- 52) e os paralelos da mitologia greco-romana revisados

Ao traçar paralelos entre tradições, é importante usar a linguagem com precisão para evitar exagerar o grau de semelhança ou diferença. Às vezes, análogos mitológicos greco-romanos (como Poseidon, Órion ou Eufemo) são aplicados à análise da história do milagre de Jesus caminhando sobre o mar (Mc 6,45-52, Mt 14,22-33, Jn 6,15-21), tendo em conta a existência de equivalências com a expressão “andar sobre as águas” ou suas variantes. Neste artigo, revisaremos os estudos sobre o assunto, como os da estudiosa bíblica Adela Yarbro Collins, e nos concentraremos no tema de caminhar sobre as águas no texto de Marcos. O objetivo é determinar até que ponto os argumentos fornecidos são válidos ou precisam ser qualificados.
