Call for Papers - Special Issue: Becoming Together. Identity and Community in Contemporary Culture and Literature (vol. 34)
The Grove is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of vol. 34 (2027), a special issue entitled "Becoming Together. Identity and Community in Contemporary Culture and Literature". This publication will be under the direction of two guest editors: Claudia Martori (Universitat de Barcelona) and Iago Rodríguez-Diéguez (Universidade de Vigo).
Its main aim is to foster an interdisciplinary dialogue on how contemporary literature, culture and the arts represent, question and reconfigure identities and communities. -
Gender, sexuality, and the reconfiguration of identity and the subject
-
Queer, trans*, and non-binary identities, communities, and literatures
-
Embodiment, vulnerability, and the politics of the body
-
Kinship, chosen families, and alternative forms of social bonding
-
Sisterhood, female community, and feminist utopias and dystopias
-
Memory, trauma, and the archive: silence, counter-memory, and counter-histories
-
Race, ethnicity, migration, and diasporic communities and belonging
-
Myth, translation, and cultural inheritance as relational practices
-
Postfeminism, popular culture, and the representation of gendered identities
-
Posthumanism, interspecies encounters, and more-than-human communities
-
Literary and cultural responses to ecological and technological change
