We happily announce you that our journal has been officialy recognized as a Diamond Open Access (Diamond OA) journal. This means that The Grove. Working Papers on English Studies is committed to openness and inclusivity in scholarly publishing without author-facing charges for reading or publishing. All content-related aspects of publishing such as submission, double-blind peer review, acceptance, publication frequency and scope of the journal are controlled by the editors.

We would like also to remind you that the Call for Papers is currently open for submissions for the next volume, scheduled for publication at the end of 2026. The articles must be sent via our journal system, accessible at Submission Guidelines.

News about journal plagiarism

We inform our readers, authors, and editorial board members that our journal has recently been plagiarised anonymously by an online publication that reproduces exactly the same title, ISSN, design, and corporate elements of The Grove. Working Papers on English Studies. The University of Jaén will take legal action against this fraudulent publication, but in the meantime, we would like to alert our users to the situation.

Given that the fraudulent publication reproduces the design of our journal, please note that the authentic URL of The Grove. Working Papers on English Studies is the following: https://revistaselectronicas.ujaen.es/index.php/blo/index. The editorial process, from the submission of the manuscript to the copyediting stage, including special issues with guest editors, must be completed through our OJS journal website. All CFPs and news of upcoming volumes will always be announced on our webpage.

We would also like to remind you that our journal only accepts contributions related to Anglophone Studies and, in no case, charges for the publication or reading of articles, as opposed to the openness to all kinds of subjects of the fake journal, which seeks to attract the maximum number of authors for profit. We, therefore, will accept no responsibility for the contents of the aforementioned publication.

Call for Papers - Special Issue: Silence in Feminist Studies (vol. 30)

The Grove kindly invites your contributions for the coming publication of vol. 30, a special issue on the notion of silence in feminist studies. We are especially interested in articles that explore issues related to the silences imposed (or self-imposed) on female writers, divergent voices or the masking of authorship, female-authored literature, feminist trends or movements and their relationship with literature, the representation of women in literary works, and any other topic of this nature. Please, submit your manuscripts following the author formatting and style guidelines before May 12th 2023.
