Abstract

This text takes the author's life and academic trajectory as a reference for an introspective understanding of the paths of intellectual transformation, with the aim of reaching an acceptable degree of disciplinary knowledge about us (others). But, above all, it aims to pay homage in memoriam to the master who showed him, for more than two decades, the footpaths of anthropological knowledge, trails which, without shortcuts, paradoxically led the disciple to an impasse in relation to ethnography as a way of cultural knowledge.
