Abstract

Nowadays political rhetoric use a lot of words without referential meanings. In fact, there a lot of social and political problems in our democracies but this kind of political discourses seem to ignore them. Politicians use the same words with untrue contents and people are starting to accept this linguistic fact. Voices from Chernobyl, by Svetlana Alexievich, is an important example about unsolved problems in our consecrated democracies from an economical and
political point of view. Some compiled testimonies from affected areas by radiations reflect incredible sufferings by this lack of resources and infraestructures. For this reason, these human sufferings are indescribable and their linguistic structures have particular characteristics by not valuing the performative applications of language
