Abstract

In this test we were sent specially at the end of century XIX in Latin America, presented/displayed the passage from the literary forms of narration of century XIX, to the defined attempts of scientific narration from the irruption of modernity in the forms to describe diverse, as it is the case of "Facundo" of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, taking shape in an analysis of the work of Nicolás Palacios as bridge between the aesthetic search of
ideology and the forms of scientific rationality that are tried to implant from elites, generating a hypothesis that from the rationality it hides and blanket a radical form of irrational racism in the book “Chilean Race” of Nicolás Palacios.
